Majeed represented the KRG at the RAMI Workshop 2025 on Next-Generation Microelectronics and Interface Engineering for Integration, delivering an overview of our research titled “Ferroelectric Materials Enabling Reconfigurable RF Electronics.” His presentation highlighted our advances in ferroelectric thin-film materials and their role in enabling reconfigurable acoustic and RF architectures for future integrated microsystems. This work reflects KRG’s broader effort to develop multiphysical microelectronics and microsystems that push the limits of performance, efficiency, and integration in next-generation communication and sensing platforms.

Evatec CLN200E Sputtering System Installation Underway
We are pleased to announce the installation of our production-grade Evatech Sputtering System CLN200E sputtering system in the Koohi Research Group. This state-of-the-art deposition platform expands our thin-film fabrication capabilities for advanced MEMS and microelectronic device development.
The Evatec CLN200E system provides high-uniformity film deposition for III-Nitride, enabling research into next-generation ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and tunable RF devices. The system’s advanced automation and precision process control support both research-scale and pre-production thin-film engineering.

Prof. Koohi Serves as Panelist at 2025 Early Career Forum

Prof. Koohi was invited to serve as a panelist at the 2025 Early Career Forum, held in conjunction with the ASME International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference (MSEC 2025) and the NAMRI/SME 53rd North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC 53) at Clemson University.
The forum, jointly organized by ASME/MED and NAMRI/SME and supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation, brought together experts from academia, national laboratories, and industry to provide career guidance to students and recent graduates. Prof. Koohi shared insights from his journey across industry and academia, and participated in roundtable discussions on research careers, funding strategies, and professional development.
This engagement reflects KRG’s ongoing commitment to mentoring the next generation of engineers and advancing multidisciplinary research in microelectronics, RF systems, and materials integration.
